Family home of The Coy Clan
Clanskeep
The Alaskan Cache , which no Alaskan Homestead should be without. Our cache at Clanskeep is nearly thirty years old , and has gone through two sets of legs already , but its hangin' in there......
Verna and Bird in the livingroom. You can see our pole roof. Many years ago in Alaska that's what most folk used.
Mom (Rose) working in the greenhouse. What a blessing it is to grow our own vegetables! To see more click on the Clanskeep Greenhouse tab at the top of the page.
Dad(Bill) Testing out a new set of pipes. ( That's a half-log floor he's standing on. He used a swede saw and axe to cut those out. That's what happens when the powersaw quits! )
We live and work here at our home in the Alaskan Bush, grow a good garden, and hunt during hunting season etc. Like alot of Alaskans do. It's peaceful and at the same time we keep very busy. There's always going to be a new project or idea to expand on that draws us on to future experiences! (Like the internet for instance..). It's been a challenge to get the internet established here at Clanskeep. When we bought the sattelite dish, it turned out to be too big to go in the bushplane we chartered so we had to saw part of it off and Bill re-attached it later , refiberglassed, polished etc..and it works great! There are definate challenges to living in the Bush but alot of it is dependent upon how creative people can be given different and unpredictable situations. We love our wilderness lifestyle and hope you enjoy browsing through this site viewing all our hard work! With hard work comes great rewards....
